01 / OVERVIEW

Cloud-First Is Mandated. Cloud-Smart Is What Wins Audits.

Every federal CIO is under pressure to move workloads off legacy infrastructure. But lift-and-shift without architectural rigor creates a more expensive version of the same problem — and an audit nightmare. The agencies that succeed pair migration with disciplined landing zone design, FinOps, security automation, and platform engineering from day one.

AGT has been delivering federal cloud services since long before “cloud-smart” was policy. Our federal cloud services practice spans Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks — integrated with zero-trust security, data platforms, and our AI services.

WHAT WE DELIVER

Cloud Services Across Every Phase of Federal Modernization

Our federal cloud services span the first strategy assessment to operating a multi-region FedRAMP environment in steady state.

Cloud Strategy & Migration Assessment

Our federal cloud services strategy delivers application portfolio rationalization (the 6 Rs), TCO analysis, dependency mapping, and migration wave planning. Output: an executive-ready cloud roadmap with risks, costs, and compliance impact quantified for OMB reporting.

Azure Government Landing Zone

Federal cloud services landing zones on Azure Government using Cloud Adoption Framework with FedRAMP High and DoD IL2/IL4/IL5 variants. Identity, networking, logging, and policy guardrails configured as Terraform/Bicep code.

AWS GovCloud Migration

AWS Landing Zone Accelerator with Control Tower, federal-aligned identity (IAM Identity Center), VPC architecture, GuardDuty/Security Hub integration, and ATO appendix templates.

FedRAMP High & DoD IL5 Architecture

Reference architectures for FedRAMP Moderate, FedRAMP High, and DoD IL2/IL4/IL5 boundaries. 3PAO coordination support, gap remediation, and continuous monitoring deliverables.

Cloud-Native Engineering on AKS & EKS

Microservices on AKS or EKS, serverless on Azure Functions and AWS Lambda, API management, event-driven architectures, and Infrastructure-as-Code in Terraform or Bicep. Production-ready, not slideware.

FinOps & Cloud Cost Optimization

Tag governance, rightsizing, reserved instance and savings plan strategy, automated shutdown for non-production, and showback/chargeback dashboards. Continuous optimization, not a one-time exercise.

03 / METHODOLOGY
OUR METHODOLOGY

CloudForge™ — Five-Phase Federal Cloud Adoption Framework

AGT CloudForge

Aligned to Federal Cloud-Smart policy, NIST 800-53 Rev 5 controls, and the documented AGT SAS Viya on Azure AKS reference deployment (21-chapter administration guide). Every CloudForge engagement includes ATO appendix templates and a FinOps operating model from day one.

  1. Assess

Portfolio discovery, dependency mapping, application 6 R disposition, TCO modeling, and FedRAMP/DoD impact-level mapping.

  2. Plan

Migration wave planning, landing zone design, identity and network blueprint, FinOps operating model, ATO appendix scoping.

  3. Build

Landing zone deployment as code, security guardrails, baseline observability, CI/CD platform for repeatable workload migration.

  4. Migrate

Execute waves with paired AGT migration leads and your application owners. Test, cut over, validate, roll forward.

  5. Optimize

Steady-state FinOps, cost-anomaly response, security posture management, continuous modernization of highest-spend workloads.

04 / PAST PERFORMANCE
PROVEN AT FEDERAL SCALE

Cloud Programs Already Powering Federal Missions

AGT’s federal cloud services practice is not based on white-papers. Every reference architecture comes from a production federal cloud services deployment we have personally built and operated.

CMS / CPI

AWS for Healthcare Fraud Analytics — 10+ Years

Decade-long federal cloud services support to the CMS OnePI and OPIDS analytics platform on AWS — combining Siebel, Cognos, BIP, and cloud-native analytics for 1,000+ fraud investigators across all 50 states.

Result
Continuous cloud-hosted delivery with zero audit findings across 10+ years.
Reference Build

SAS Viya on Azure AKS — 21-Chapter Reference Guide

AGT authored the definitive 21-chapter SAS Viya on Azure AKS Administration Guide (rg-sasviya-dev and rg-sasviya-prod resource groups), now used as a federal data analytics modernization reference architecture.

Result
Federal-ready AKS deployment pattern documented end-to-end in production.
DoD Multi-Service

Cloud Advisory Across Navy, Army, Air Force, Space Force

Cloud migration advisory, zero-trust implementation, and IT PMO support across all four military services — including the NAVSUP 8(a) sole-source award (N0018924PZ237).

Result
100% on-time, zero-defect delivery on every DoD cloud engagement to date.

08 / FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED

Cloud Services — Common Questions

Common questions from federal contracting officers and agency CIOs about AGT’s federal cloud services.

Do you support both Azure Government and AWS GovCloud?
Yes — plus Oracle Cloud Government, Microsoft 365 GCC High, and Google Cloud (FedRAMP-authorized). Our team holds expert-level credentials across the major federal cloud platforms, and we routinely deliver multi-cloud and hybrid architectures.
Can you support DoD IL5 workloads?
Yes. We have cleared engineers and have delivered cybersecurity and cloud advisory across Navy, Army, Air Force, and Space Force commands. Our reference architectures include IL2, IL4, and IL5 boundary patterns with appropriate connectivity, identity, and data handling controls.
How do you price cloud migration work?
FFP, T&M, and Labor-Hour pricing under our GSA MAS contract (47QTCA21D003M) and 8(a) sole-source authority. For migration work, we typically price the assessment phase as FFP, then move to FFP-per-wave or T&M for execution depending on portfolio complexity.
Do you bring a landing zone or build one from scratch?
Both. Most clients adopt our reference Azure CAF or AWS LZA landing zone and tailor it to their identity, network, and policy requirements. For agencies with mature cloud postures, we extend the existing landing zone rather than rebuilding it.
What is your typical migration timeline?
Assessment and landing zone deployment: 8-12 weeks. First wave migration: typically begins within 12-16 weeks of project start. Full portfolio migration depends on size — typically 9-18 months for mid-size federal portfolios (50-200 applications).
Can you operate the cloud after migration is complete?
Yes. AGT provides managed cloud operations including FinOps optimization, security posture management, patching, backup verification, and incident response. These are typically structured as a follow-on task order from the migration engagement.
How do you handle FedRAMP authorization for new workloads?
We provide end-to-end FedRAMP Moderate and High readiness support including 3PAO coordination, gap remediation, and continuous monitoring package preparation. Our reference architectures come pre-mapped to NIST 800-53 Rev 5 control families.
Do you support hybrid cloud and Azure Arc?
Yes. We deliver hybrid architectures using Azure Arc, AWS Outposts, ExpressRoute, and Direct Connect with zero-trust connectivity between on-premises, cloud, and edge. Especially common for agencies with classified workloads that cannot fully migrate to commercial cloud.
